Advanced Biotechnology and Biomedical Research
Our Advanced Biotechnology and Biomedical Research group pioneers cutting-edge solutions at the intersection of molecular biology, biomedical engineering, and clinical applications. Supervised by internationally-recognized research executives with decades of combined experience, we specialize in developing innovative therapeutic strategies, diagnostic tools, and biotechnology platforms that address pressing global health challenges. Our interdisciplinary team employs state-of-the-art genomic sequencing, CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, and nanotechnology approaches to investigate disease mechanisms, with particular focus on cancer biology, neurodegenerative disorders, and infectious diseases.
The group maintains strong collaborations with clinical partners to translate bench discoveries into patient care, currently advancing several therapeutic candidates through preclinical pipelines. Our biotechnology development wing focuses on creating novel biosensors, lab-on-a-chip devices, and AI-powered diagnostic systems. Recent breakthroughs include a patented biosensor platform for early cancer detection and development of targeted nanocarriers for blood-brain barrier penetration.
We cultivate a dynamic research environment that trains the next generation of scientists through our mentored research programs, offering opportunities in:
- Precision Medicine (personalized therapeutic approaches)
- Regenerative Medicine (stem cell and tissue engineering applications)
- Biomolecular Engineering (protein design and synthetic biology)
- Translational Diagnostics (point-of-care testing technologies)
With over 50 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals and multiple ongoing industry partnerships, we bridge fundamental scientific discovery with real-world medical innovation to improve human health outcomes worldwide.
